Cassette connection better than line input (PAC) for SAT??
I bought a car adapter kit for an XM Delphi Roady and the installation manual said the cassette gave the best sound quality vs. FM modulator and Line input (PAC). I was surprised at that - the manual even had a crude diagram showing the sound quality: 1. cassette, 2. line input, 3. FM modulator. I had planned on switching from my current cassette connection to a PAC unit to clean up the install and I thought, improve sound quality. Wondering what others have run into that actually connected using the PAC unit.

I think the cassette connection is WORSE than FM Modulation (as long as the FM modulator isn't fighting a station)! The tape adapter sounds like crap. You hear a constant hiss with a cassette adapter.
FM modulation isn't too bad. With as close as you are modulating, as long as it's not fighting another station, it's clear.
The SAT input will give you the best overall sound.
