Pics of rear deck speaker install in Coupe?

Howdy - long time lurker, second time poster here.

I ordered a set of Image Dynamics ID8's to intall infinite baffle in the rear deck of my coupe (w/Blose). I'd like to know what faces me before I completely tear everything apart. Does anyone have pics of the rear deck of the coupe, with the finisher panels removed?

A search revealed a thread from 1/2004, but all the images are dead or corrupted.

thx!

ask, and ye shall recieve.... G-Squad DIY Section | Coupe Rear Deck Disassembly/Rattle Repair

courtesy of Vance (aka NYCG35) is his DIY on taking apart the rear deck... note that you have to remove almost the entire back seat to access the rear deck

definitely use sound deadener on that spot when you get in there... try to install some foam too, this spot is a rattle problem for some people

This is awesome! Just what I was looking for. I slowly develooped this rattle in my rear deck after installing my sub in the trunk of my coupe. I couldn't quite locate where it was coming from. That link is going to help alot. I was just about to tear into it do start searching, but this will save me alot of time! Thank you very much!

if you're gonna take that all apart, you might as well dynamat the rear seat area and deck lid if you haven't already since it's such a PITA to get in there... better off doing it once only, that's my plan

are you going to go free air or are you going to fabricate enclosures for those?

Going free air (infinite baffle) with the ID8's. My biggest concern now is the amount the speaker's surround protrudes above the mounting gasket. There really might be clearance issues between that and the rear deck finisher panel. Worst case is I'll have to build 1/2 enclosures to "float" the subs below the rear deck.

We'll see, I guess...
