Factory Alarm

doesn't G35 coupe comes with an alarm?

well, I got the factory alarm, and it is not working for me. when I lock the car, it does beep, but if i open the door use just the key, the alarm doesn't sound at all.

do I need to activiate anything? or doesn't a $37k car comes with an alarm.

My 05 also has an alarm....To see if you have an alarm, open one of your windows, then close all the doors and lock the car with the key fob. Wait for the red light on the dash to start blinking and open the door from the inside.

Using the key to unlock the doors disables the alarm.

As well as an alarm, the car also comes with an owners manual that answers all that and more, you should read at least some of it.

what are you guys talking about...

how can you not know if you have an alarm or not.. I would imagine an alarm would chirp if you disarm or arm the car.

a keyless entry would just blink and honk if you were to lock it.

Yeah, I coulda' gave it to ya straight out but there are some interesting things in the manual so you should check all that out, just go to the alarm section and skip the rest for now, it brakes it all down for ya

Yes the G35 comes with a factory alarm which is primary used for keyless remote entry. Do this...get in your car and lock your doors using the remote. Wait for 30 secs or until the led starts blinking. Next manually unlock your door and get out. Your horn should sound.

The G35 lacks shock sensors but you can easily install an aftermarket shock sensor, as I did and it works beautifully. It especially help when a football is accidently thrown at your car. Check this link out for information and installation.

okay, I opened the door without waiting for 30 seconds, leads me to think it doesn't have an alarm. That was the problem.

Factory Alarm?

All I needed was to add remotes to my receiver. I got new units for about 1/3 dealer price for my 03 G35 & 01 I30 on -

http://www.ThePartsYouNeed.com

They seem to have remotes & instructions for everything on their site.
