Radar Detector

What is the difference between a radar detector and a radar jammer? And where do you get a radar jammer? Sorry for the stupid questions.

Jammer

A radar "Detector" is really a receiver of microwaves. It is tuned to the specific frequencies that the radar units use. When it receives a signal, it gives an indication and alarm.

A "Jammer" (if there really was a good one) would read the incoming radar signal and transmit a corresponding "jamming" signal to fool the radar. This is ILLEGAL in ALL states. There have been a few attempts at this, but they weren't very successful.

The only "Jammer" that is LEGAL in SOME states is a LASER Jammer. Unlike a Radar jammer the LASER jammer emits a constant signal. Some of these DO work and SOME work VERY well. Check out RADARTEST.COM
