Question 03-04 Double Din Finisher

Hey guys quick ?:

once the double din install is complete with the 03-04 double din finisher, is it possible to slide the HU in and out of the double din opening for wiring changes? or do you still have to take the finisher/dash apart to get the HU out?

Thanks

No slide out...
You have to take it apart.
FWIW, I like this set up, it's more secure.

1st time is a little tedious, but pretty straight forward.
There are several DIY threads that detail it pretty well.
Here's one.. LINKY

don't worry about it....it's not to bad at all...i've done it 3 or 4 times now...in order to have my interior custom painted and then to install my double din tv...any questions feel free to ask...i have the entire service manual on cd and it helps more than you will ever know...especially with those areas that have clips....it almost feel like you are going to break something but the service manual lets you know where those clips are at so you can expect it to be a little bit tough....therefore being assured that you won't bust any of them

+1 I took mine apart over the weekend for the first time. Only took me about 45mins. If you live in SOCAL/OC, feel free to PM me. If time allows, I probably can help you.

I guess it is more secure, but sometimes that just leads to getting your dash sawed into by lame thieves.
Luckily for us that just means a new finisher
