Upgrading system, need audio advice

I have an '05 G35x w/ premium & nav.

I already have an Infinity Kappa 10.1DVC, Lanzer amp, and the 4080 sub box which i installed myself.

I'm still not happy with the sound, the sub isnt hitting hard and just sounds sloppy, im sure it's installer error. but i'm also not happy with the 9 char truncated display, so i am seriously thinking about upgrading further. The HU i have in mind is the Pioneer DEH-P9600MP. Now I know im going to need the DD conversion kit and im having a pro shop install it, but i have a few questions about the whole setup

1> With that kit and the above listed deck, i dont need the DD Bracket, correct? Since my new deck is single din size, do i need to buy a 'filler' piece? does that peice come with the nissan harness kit?
2> This whole dual climate button soldering thing concerns me, I doubt the shop would do it, do most shops do stuff like that?

So here is my list of items ill be looking at getting in the very near future to complete my install:

A> Pioneer DEH-P9600MP
B> SWiX Steering Wheel Interface
C> Spacers for front speakers from ebay(do i need spacers for the rear?)
D> DD Conversion Kit from Grubbs w/ A/C controls and face plate (bracket?)

I listen to mostly rock so im looking for crisp clarity as well as making my ears bleed from excessive volume, I'm open for suggestions on what Components to get for the front as well as what amp to power them with. I'm thinking JL?? I want to stay under $2000 for everything, installed.

Just to update my post cause i know you are all on the edge of your seats wondering what i ended up doing...

I finished my new audio setup, for now anyway). I went with:
JL XR650-CSi 6.5" components
JL TR650-CXi 6.5" coaxial
JL 300/4
JL Cleansweep
I already had an infinity kappa 10.1DVC, but i was running a ****ty amp. I replaced that amp with a 250/1.

I didnt get to stay under my $2000 budget, but i also got all doors sound dampened and 35% tint all the way around You guys can argue the merits and/or value of the cleansweep for our car if you like, but im happy i went with it. The system is very loud, very clean sounding and im happy.

Hey man, all that matters is that you are happy with it. Your car, your money (well spent I might add) and your satisfaction. How much did everything cost you? How much for installation? Just curious.

everything was around $2400 out the door. you can get the speakers and amps, and everything else for the matter, cheaper if you buy online of course. i bought locally from the shop that did the install. the components were $400, coaxials $150, cleansweep $350, 300/4 $450, 250/1 $225, dynamat $150, tint $250. add about $300 to install everything. they did a few nice things for me as well. for instance they built a nice amp rack, ran new speaker wire through the doors/etc, re-wired my crappy install of my sub that i didnt buy from them.
