Opinions on a DVD player
I'm getting ready to buy a roof mounted DVD monitor and player and wanted to get some input. It's an Audiovox setup that has the DVD player on the back of the monitor.
The pros: not much wiring, no need to hide a player somewhere else in the car, comes with dome lights (lacking in back seat already).
The cons: Audiovox not the best but I don't plan on competing in an IASCA event, it's black (won't exactly go with the interior but it's on the roof so who cares).
I want to wire it up to the Nav screen but I was wondering if I need that Pioneer gimmick or if I can just get some kind of audio "a/b" selector. Thanks.

Just paint match it. All the monitors are basically outsourced from the same place in Tiawan or China
A good a/b video selector is almost as much money as the pioneer unit. I'd go with the Pioneer.

Don't worry about the color. I have seen many TV's hung from the celings of cars that are black and the interior is tan. It looks just fine.
