Coupe Front Speaker Spacer Template?

Hi, So i'm going to cut some spacers this week and I'd love to predrill the bolt holes for the stock mounting points to the door. Is there a spacer template here for 6 1/2 fronts?

If it doesnt exist I'll make one and post it when the time comes. If some one could trace their uninstalled spacer and scan & post that would be awesome.

Thanks!

almost everyone that makes spacers (myself included) just simply traces the outline of the stock Bose speaker onto the MDF (including the holes) to make their template.

Hi,
Thanks, yeah i have no problem with the speaker screws, it's the holes that mount to the door. Look at this pic, I'm going to repalce the white plastic stock spacer with an MDF spacer. (is this what the stock door looks like?)

what car is that?

The spacer is not that complicated like in the pic above - just round with 3 symmetrically placed screw holes. Just take one speaker off the door and use it to trace onto wood or MDF (1" thick I think will do) and cut it out.

You do not need to make a spacer for 2003 G35s. The stock speaker comes apart from the white spacer. Look at my pic

sorry yea i should have specified.... in 2004+ models the stock speaker and spacer are a single piece of plastic, in which case you would do as i did and trace the entire thing out of MDF

with the 2 piece speaker/spacer like on your car, i think you can just unscrew the speaker part and use the white spacer just fine by itself

Your car came with the non-bose sytem didn't it. I believe that the Bose systems have the one piece molded speaker/spacer as SI_G35Coupe said instead of the seperate pieces like what you have pictured.

Nevertheless, could someone make a template of the speaker spacer? I dont have a spacer to trace because the dumb audio shop thru it away. Learned my lesson the hard way, now I'm reinstalling everything myself the right way.

I have one made out of cardboard that I used to make my spacers. I could trace it on paper and mail it to you. If that works for you then PM me.
