Are DD Nav/DVD units removable? Does the "face" come off like regular HUs? Or do you just leave in and pray no one tries to jack it?

 

just got my avn5435 installed 2 days ago and no... it doesnt come off i dont think... or at least i havent found a way. Im pretty sure youre just hoping no one jacks it

 

eclipse has a code that if u steal it it wont work, thieves know this i guess...

but no, theyre not removable, nor is there a removable face on it...
just hope nobody tries to steal it cause they will have a hard time ripping it out! it ain't no Honda Civic...

 

I wish it could come off, some dumb a$$ will break into it and rip up the dash even if they cant use it...it happened with my last car...such a shame.

 

on teh AVN5435 If you have the authorized warranty it is covered for theft up to 1 year i believe. That is as long as the unit itself is stolen (NOT THE CAR) and there are definite signs of forced entry.
