Installed Avic-D1 and now radio doesnt work. (did install the antenna adapter)

Is it normal that the radio barely gets any reception with the Avic-D1? I mean, it gets a little reception on a clear day, with some static noises in the background. But when it rains, I get nothing. Nothing at all.

I did do a research on this forum prior to installing the Avic-D1 and I did tell the installer that I need the antenna adapter for Nissan, and also the wiring harness. They said they had them in stock and those were what they put in my coupe.

I also have a power inverter installed in my coupe and it's grounded at the same place where the Avic-D1 is grounded. This is done because my power inverter was causing audio/video interferences, and I read that what I needed to do was ground the power inverter at the same place as the Avic-D1, which DID work BTW.

Can someone please help me? What could possibly go wrong here?

You need power to the antenna as well.
Use the power antenna output from the D1 harness.

....There are some old threads on this topic.

I don't know if this helps, but I had FM reception and no AM reception after install. Switching the two antenna connectors cleared it up.
