Well it seems like a lot of members on this board are going with a 4080 box, JL Audio 10w6v2, and a JL 500/1 amp so I'm guessing it's a good setup to add to the stock Bose. I myself have the 4080 box already and just looking for the sub and amp. Goodluck

Another option, if you want to save some $$$, is the 4080 box with JL Audio 250/1 amp and 10W3V2 sub. Should provide more than enough bass for the stock system. Definitely go with 4080's sub box no matter what you do.

im going with this setup http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8028063010. The 4080 box is probably the most efficient but I think it looks a little weird with it being on the side. You do get to keep most of your trunk space tho.

Would it make sense to get tthe 250/1 JL Amp and W3 instead of the 500/1 and a W6 if I plan on keeping the stock bose system and speakers? Wouldnt the bass be too much?

I've had a 8w7 and 500 in the G. Result, crazy bass but a lil too much for the bose. I had the basslink in G. Result, sounded like stock, couldn't even determine that there was a sub in there. My next setup is 2 w3v2 in a custom fiberglass enclosure with a JL 500/1 pushing it. If your looking for quality bass that works well with stock systems I recommend the w3's. I've had them before and the bass is soo tight and clean. For the price the quality can't be beat. w6's are a little more heavy on the bass and w7 are just monsters that require the system to be built around them. I mean this is just my opinion. I m a strong supporter of JL audio for both their subwoofers and amps. I have never really dealt with their components but sub and amp wise I wouldn't go any other way.

Yes, IMO it would make sense to go this route. It would still be enough bass to upgrade your components and amp in the future. I have this combo for my bass and currently run a set of CDT Audio CL-61 components in front off of an Alpine amp pushing 100-120w / channel and the bass is more than adequate.

The 4080 box can be purchased from 4080 direct. PM 4080 to get his current pricing. 4080 is his g35driver user name. He's a member of this forum.

Just word of caution for getting that box, the air space is on the small side for pair 10's, but they can convert it to single 10 tho, it would be just right for most of the sub.

yea i did think about that. Would you say that the box would be too small for two w6's? Basically my plan was to go with 2 10w6v2's and a 1000/1 amp. All of this is with the stock head unit. What are your comments on this? Should I go with 2 10w3v2 as suggest earlier with a 500/1 amp? I pretty much want a pretty strong bass but I don't want it to sound like crap either. I originally had a kicker 12 inch sub and it was weaksauce in my opinion so I wanted to get something else that hits a lot harder. Unfortunately I already have that box so I can no longer convert it back to 1 10 inch so I guess i'll just have to work my way around this..
