Parrot vs. Raytel (Tellphone)?

Hello. I installed the Parrot CK3100 last week. I've had nothing but problems with it and the quality just seems really weak. Works for a few days then seems to crap out in one way or another. Parrot sent me another control box and mic with new s/w on it. Now its losing voice tags. Its hooked right and other people on their forum are having similar issues and Parrot doesnt seem to have any good answers. They just keep asking the same dumb questions over and over. Very frustrating. I was wondering if anyone out there has the Tellphone 4000 and if they like it? Is it a quality product?

Thanks everyone.

I have had a Parrot CK3100 in my car for 6 months and have had no problems (but I don't use the voice tags, because I hate voice). We sell them on the display, not the voice control, and actively discourage voice control as an option since we find most people don't use it on their phones either.

We have installed probably 20 CK3100 in the past 6 months and have not had one failure.

If you really do like voice, the Tellphone 4000 does have better voice command than the CK3100. I haven't installed any but I've played with one in the rep's car. The display is smaller than the CK3100 and the lack of a **** irritated me, but I expect the voice control to be more robust.

Another unit to consider is the Motorola HFK1000. Better voice recognition, without training, but no display.

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate your insight but voice is an absolute must for me (especially driving a stick) and the reason i bought the thing in the first place. If Parrot can't help me out I may have to start looking at these other alternatives.

Thanks again.

Anyone else?

I understand that you are "down" on Parrot at the moment, but have you looked at their newest model 3200? It may have improved voice capabilities. YMMV.

We installed a 3200 yesterday. Great unit but no reason to think it has different voice firmware.

You might want to make sure your Parrot has the latest firmware. They have a download wizard on parrot.biz.

I have a Raytel here sitting on the shelf. Where are you?

I 've had the 3200 LS for a couple weeks now. I haven't set up the voice yet. I'll do it and let you know how it works. The other functionality of the unit has been very good. Works as advertised.

P.S. el_duderino, when can I get those tables?
