Its like anywhere else, it all depends on where you took the car to and if you brough the stuff from that shop or not, the kicks/door pods I've been quote anywhere from 200 to 350 painted each, the head unit for G is soemwhere 150~250 range, way too much work to tear down whole dash just to change the head unit, had a shop quoted 1.5k for an painted fibergalss sub, while other shop quoted only 600 for excatly same box.

Of course we all know, we get what we paid for it, but if you can offer reasonable price while still doing quality installations? ppl will be beating down your door for your service, just like Sam "wil" who is doing clearbra for "preimer" ppl have hard time getting hold of him for install, usually they have to wait 3~4 weeks if they lucky.

I probably will need your service in couple of months will PM you soon regrading your installation price.

its 200~350 per side, SoundInnovation charge me 900 bucks for redoing the front door speakers and fiberglassed the ADS's x-over with couple of neon tubes into door armrest, which they are probably the most expensive shops around. The trunk will be hard to say, the trunk pic I posted, cost me 500 bucks with installing front and rear speakers, simple fiberglass box and amp rack, running the cable for second battery/isolater/amps/pre wiring for EQ under the front seat.

OK, so the DLS UR6s is like $600.

The ID subs are like $300 the set.

The Alpine amps are like what, $300 and $450?

The AVIC is $1600 minus the $300 rebate, so that's $1300. You can see them for less on ebay, so let's plug in 1000 as an arbitrary number.

That's $2650 to $2950. Figure in cable and wire for another $100 or so. Call it three grand.

So glass pods with standard router shaped teardrops wrapped in headliner material...($300? We would charge $500-700 for better ones with more volume and different covering) vinyl-wrapped amp beauty board and amp cover (with crooked Infiniti logo : ) - call that $300 or more), two amps ($150-175, rear speakers (three-way Infinitys? For an SQ car? $45), the 2-DIN deck in that car with the JDM 2-DIN kit (I'm hearing $150 but we do it for $75), sub box (fiberglass or wood? $200 for straight mdf, $300 for fiberglass partial/reinforced, $400 for full fiberglass).

We would have charged about $1300-1700 for that job, maybe a little more for the vinyl amp board.

In the Bay Area, the most expensive place on the West Coast for everything, I will politely suggest that you need to be responsible and make sure to charge enough to stay in business and have enough profit to behealthy - otherwise, it's just too tight.

I was in car stereo in Cali starting in 1986. I'm up here now, but Cali is always the most expensive.

some of your prices is kinda of strange, but sure lol where do you get 45 dollar infinity kappa 3 ways (i know they are not sq, but he wanted some rear fill...yuck..lol) and where do you get the two alpine amps for 300-450? dealer cost on them alone is at or above taht :O hehe

but man, i think i know cali is a lot more expensive than PA for sure lol...i charge about half that in temrs of labor...

on a side note, it IS crooked isnt it! lol i just noticed that, thats gonna get fixed lol must have been tired
