Installing a PA-11 this Friday...

I have an 05 G35C w/ navigation and a bose system. I have talked the manufacture and they said that the PA-11 is connected through your external CD changer, which is not likely being used. I have talked to a car audio shop and getting installed this Friday for $200 including the unit.

Do it yourself.. its not very hard. It could be done by a beginner.. just follow the DIY Instructions.

I had to disconnect two plugs ( a small one and a larger one) from the radio(the only two that match the cable) then bigger one that went into the radio goes back into the third FEMALE plug on the cable. I was confused at first becuse when I first looked at the back of the radio there were NO open cavities for the two plugs on the cable, but eventually figured it out.
Its fairly easy.. the hardest part for me was getting to the screw at the top of the radio.

The picture in looking at the back of the HU from the passenger side.

Any updates about the Direct mode vs. Playlist mode? Did you ever try switching the settings Real_G?

Post ok, here's the deal

alright gang,
if you haven't purchased this USASPEC iPod interface model PA11-NIS yet, then i may have found a deal for you...

Crutchfield, an authorized dealer, currently has the PA11-NIS for $119.99...
now don't write me off just yet! Here's the deal
1) add one to your cart
2) choose "Yes, I want the free instructions and installation gear..." & click Next
3) Select 200#, Infiniti, G35, Coupe/Sedan, with Bose system

you will then be left with
USA Spec IPOD Interface Nissan
FREE Crutchfield Guide: Peripherals Installation
FREE Crutchfield Guide: Installing an iPod in your Car
Standard Shipping $10.99
Order Total $130.98

4) in the box below "Special offer or catalog code?" enter 3A139 and then click on Submit
*this coupon is scheduled to expire on 28-FEB*

Your order will then be discounted $10 and also receive free shipping
Total paid is $109.99
I put in my order on Friday, got the box on Tuesday-- UPS 2nd Day Air!
This kinda deal for peeps in Hawaii are few & far between!

The FREE guides are pretty damn hokey... it's like Installation 101 the cliffnotes version but, hey it's icing on the cake as far as i'm concerned. It may make decent enough reading for 1 sitting on the throne (if ya know what i mean)

anywho, i hope this helps some fellow forumers...

Nice find.. the PA11-NIS does have 1 Audio input (RCA) on the box in addition to the Ipod.. I just want to know if the DVDandNAV2go will work with the PA11-NIS as far as utilizing the same jacks?
