Factory speaker sizes

Hello, I will be getting an 03-04 sedan very soon. I'm not sure whether I'm getting bose or not, but I need to know what sizes the factory speakers are for the front and rear. I currently have Diamond 6.5s all around in my Maxima, hopefully those will work. Thanks for any info.

Awesome, thank you rupdog326. That is exactly what I have running now. Looks like it's time to get some sound deadening and do it right the first time. Thanks

Spacers

Well that takes care of the diameter... You'll probably need spacers fro the front. I'm not sure if you will need them for the rear tho. You can eaither make your own spacers or purchase them from ZEnclosures on ebay. Do a search on the forum for spacers and you'll get several threads about spacers.

Yeah, I definatley need some MDF rings. I'll probably try and make my own considering how expensive they are commercially. Thanks for all of your info everyone.

What is the speaker for the front/rear? Some speakers are very deep!

They are Diamond D661s. The magnets are pretty big but with that adapter they shoud fit fine. I had to do the same thing with my maxima, as a matter of fact the MDF adapter looks almost identical to the one I use in my Maxima, hopefully the mounting holes line up nicely.

Don't waste your money on the Blows system. It's OK, just not an extra $1000 OK..

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. If you pass on the Bose, you also pass on the dual climate control and home link mirror. If you pass on the home link mirror, I hope you don't have a garage or any other compatible RF devices.... or a radar detector you would like to EASILY and very professionally hardwire (without having to run 12v and ground leads somewhere in the car).

And if you have a significant other who is a classic whiney woman when it comes to being "too hot" or "too cold", the dual climate control is a god-send.

You are definitely a thinking man! Dual controls, to me, seem silly in a cabin that small. However, they have come in VERY handy in just such a situation that you lined out.

But, if you plan to do DD install, you loose the dual control anyway right?

NO, you can solder the dual CC button on to the new A/C controller if you know what you're doing, or you can have somone else do it for you to retain the CC.
