Need Ideas on placing a monitor
Hi guys, need your advice!
I have a non navi and want to put a screen somewhere. I was thinking putting on visor screens but the visors are really ugly and plastic.
I really want to connect my notebook to the audio and video.
I don't want to put the screen on the dash. I was thinking of some sort of custom holder that can be installed in the center top compartment where the oem navi goes. If anyone has any ideas, pictures and or other options please let me know.
My car is a lease so I don't really want a huge install.

you can do a 7" touchscreen Xenarc screen with the Digital wheelz screen kit. what year is your car?

folds out when you wanna use it, folds back into the compartment to hide when not in use.

not to be a wise **** or anything but.... if you dont wanna do the digital wheelz kit, what exactly do you want to do? I mean... you just explained the DW kit exactly. If you want to custom do something, i have seen a motorized popout where the swinging door over that compartment was completely detacted and when the screen popped out, the thing came out with it. I dont know how to explain it any better, but there is a video link around here somewhere. your best bet is gonna be the digital wheels kit or something similar. I have an AVN5435 and almost wanna buy the digial wheelz kit because it is higher up and would be easier to see without taking your eyes totally off the road.
re: the visor screens.... if you buy whole replacement visors, then they're usually crappy plastic ones... but if you have a good shop custom install the LCD's into your OEM visors they should come out looking sharp
