Talking Got my 4080 & goodies instaled!

So I went with the "normal" G35 Coupe setup. 10W6,500/1,4080Box, & JL bass remote. Extreem Dynamat in the whole trunk and rear deck.
Got these in Thursday, had them installed at Tweeters Friday..
Bass remote flush mounted in the ash tray, custom FG/carpeted amp rack on the opposite side of the 4080.Love it! 10W6 is a monster for a 10! I had 2 12"s in my last car and this is not as loud, but I am impressed with the performance and acoustics of the coupe. Its very clean..I am overjoyed!
The factory HU and front components actually sound good.. I will still be upgrading in a few months.
I wanted a functional setup that still allowed me a trunk.

Will have better shots later on today! (I took these last night)

Looks good! So Tweeters built the custom amp rack on the passenger side? I didn't want to have to mount the amp above the floor level in the trunk, so I decided on a 10W3v2 and mounting a 250/1 amp upside down inside the spare tire. :O

So how did you get the 10W6 to fit in the 4080 with the grill in place. I had to cut a 1/2" MDF ring to space the sub out in order for it not to hit the back of the box. That put the sub far enough foward that the grill didn't fit.

Thanks for the comments.. after two days now.. I still love it. It has nice clean bass.. its not a thump head setup.. and its very clean with the factory highs.

Cost.. I was surprised.. I expected to pay more for the amprack.. the ExtreemDynamat costed the most!

$300 installed for the Extreem Dynanmatt (Entire Trunk and bottom of rear deck) There is no rattle.. very clean!
$59 wiring install of amps and speaker and bass remote
$120 custom FG/Carpeted fabribaction of amp rack.
$119 JL 4Guage amp kit ( I know I could have gotten a cheaper kit.. but, hey its my baby)
$29 misc supplies I provided the amp, speakerbox and speaker wgrill and bass remote.

It took about 8 hours for the install, I dropped it off in the AM and got it back in the evening.

I wanted the amp to be seen.. probably will add a cap, the interior lights dimm when parked and the bass is up... glad we have HIDs, so theres no headlight dimming.

SPECIFICATIONS

- The RemoteBassCcontrol-1 has been designed to remotely control the Bass EQ boost feature of JL Audio amplifiers equipped with a "Remote Bass" port. When the RBC-1 is connected, the on-board "Boost" control of the amplifier is defeated... Then RBC-1 becomes the only active boost controller.

From the JLaudio site.

The 500/1, 1000/1, 450/4 and 500/5 provide a connection port for the RBC-1 remote bass controller, permitting bass boost control from the front of the vehicle. And All e-series amplifiers provide a connection port for the RBC-1 remote bass controller

How much is the Bass Control? Tweeter didn't charge you for the install of the Bass Control?

looks very clean... so all you did was add an amp and a sub to your stock Bose system?? that is what i want to do but i was worried that the stock bose speakers wouldnt sound good with a sub... does the bass on your sub increase when you speed up like the Bose system?? i would like to go with the same setup in my 03. let me know. thanks...

Looks Great

When they installed the Remote Bass ****, did they cut the plastic in the ashtray? I use my ashtray to hold change and it looks like you are missing the plastic insert
