hey amthar do you know if a JL 500/1 could fit above or below the 500/5 (or a 450/4) in the stock bose amp location? I saw the 500/5 seemed a bit cramped in the pictures...

 

500/1 is smaller, so I'd say yes. It's also less cramped if you remove the Bose amp bracket. I left it in because it offered an easy way to mount the amp down (without drilling new holes into the body).

 

Can you tell me where you are getting the DLS setups from.

 

I bought my UP6s from el_duderino. I did the install myself.

 

Really? Whats there? Is it a SAT box? Thats not specific to the 06's, its only there if you have SAT. Or is it something else?

I bought the DLS from 16psibrick and it was a ver pleasurable experience. he was very helpful and got me the speakers within the same week we spoke.

 

okay, i am a little behind in terms here. what is a "DD kit"? i know bose works on some funky frequency.

 

double din kit. converts the proprietary integrated console/dash to a double din dash that an aftermarket radio can easily install into.

 

No Sat is down below the Bose bracket line in the corner. One box is for the bluetooth and there is some other box above the Bose bracket line that I haven't seen in other people's install pictures, and it's not clearly marked.

 

Ok, interesting. I didn't think about the bluetooth. Not sure what the other box is, but I can confirm it's not on my 2005.
