eclipse 5435

How much did you guys pay for the unit and where did you guys buy it from?

How much did you guys pay for all the parts and installation? Do you guys hear a lot or any rattles after the install?

What do you like or dislike about the unit?

if you want a good deal & a warranty, send a PM to El_duderino and get it from him. He is an authorized dealer and will give you a good deal!

I love my 5435.

However, the 5500 just came out.

What do you mean about the rattles? That would be a product of the speakers not the HU, HU will not make a significant difference in any type of rattle unless you change your speakers.

Are you referring to the CD5435 or the AVN5435? Both excellent products and actually my best sellers in their class. My customers usually choose them 10-1 over their counterparts. Especially regarding the AVN.

Parts and installation would vary from dealer to dealer, so my pricing would be irrelevant to your needs.

I personally have a CD8455, waiting on a CD7000. No offense taken. I dont need Nav, its an SQ orientated setup so I prefer the flexibility and I do have something underneath it.

CD 7000? Can't you find anything with a bigger volume control?

Sure that it sounds good... can you get the EQ LED's changed to green?

Like the look of that Arc Audio eq/crossover, kinda reminds me of the old-school Linear Power EQ's. Waiting on Arc to make some Flatline 10's.

Eh in person its not all 'that' bad. Although I have to stay current with products.

Nope, unfortunately no changing colors, buts its certainly the best analog processor I can find with. Simplicity of controls is also a major plus.

i know that it's a couple of months old, but i think that setup looks great! you're right, in that it is better than the pocket. but a question: what does the 7000 have that the 8455 doesn't? also, why the additional EQ?

i just got my AVN 5435 installed by circuit city, and also purchased it from circuit city. I had to install teh ac controls and do the soldering myself, but chose to get the actual unit with circuit cty cause of their warranty, and the fact that if anything goes wrongduring the install, any issues with teh prodcuts, i can just go to them and get it taken care of without any hassle. Pretty much, got the all the other parts, scocshe adapters, wiring harness, doubledin, ac controls, pwiscleci, and ipc-106 from other stores, and just the eclipse unit from circ cty, that cost 1499 there. more pricey, but i personally don't mind, especially with 18 months, no interest with circuit city. Oh, and install of everything, was $100. $5.50 a month over 18 months! haha. here's the setup.

The 7000 doesnt offer much over the 55. Obviously cosmetics and detach face. Otherwise..learning/teaching steering remote,iPod ready, more gimicky graphics, learnable shortcut button,etc..

The Arc DXE is my processor/crossover/EQ with the capabilities of running my 4 way active setup. I primarily only use the 5 bands of the parametric on the DXE as well.I dont use the CD7000 for anything more than a transport and some TA. Its actually coming out shortly in favor of a Nak MB-X.
