Red is standard, yellow is mixed regular use + deep cycle, blue is full deep cycle marine.

Go to the Optima site and look for your car. Depending on your power needs you probably want to go for the highest CA/CCA rating that will fit in there with the reverse posts.

You want a yellow top, it is deep cycle. Red top IS NOT deep cycle, although it has higher cold cranking amps. You want a DEEP CYCLE battery meaning, you can drain it completely, jump it, and it will recharge to full capacity.

Blue tops and Yellow tops are exactly the same except blue's are meants for boats, and accordingly they have terminals in different locations.

There are actually several Yellow Tops that fit the G35.

If you search for "Yellow top optima" you will find all kinds of info.

There was a thread about what type people were using over in the Sedan forum. I will look for the link...

I think it's becasue the Optima Yellow Top's with "Reverse Terminals" are where our stock one's are, this way you won't have to extend cables.

They also make some with two different terminal sets.

Yea, just saw that too. LOL

I blieve the ones that fit are the 51 and 34. Don't know what the numbers actually mean, it is not a size thing. If you call a local optima dealer they can tell you which one will fit. That is what I was going to do but they were backordered when I was in the market.

In that case you should go for the 34r. Let us know if you can get it.
I just went back and looked, that was the one I could not get becuase it was backordered a couple months back. They told me that the Army ordered a ton of them and set Optima back. No one in Phoenix could find one for me or even give me a date.
