Aftermarket Head Unit 03' Sedan
My head unit just went 'CD ERROR FO' and I tore it out and took all the CD's out but it is still broken. I am looking to replace the whole unit with an aftermarket one. I have a few questions. I have looked through the boards and found some docs and guides on doing this but am left with the following questions:
1. Where can i buy the DD conversion kit?
2. Are there any aftermarket head units that will work with or have been modified to work with the factory steering wheel controls? Can anyone suggest any brands or models in particular? I would be interested in a DD unit either with a screen or without.
3. Has anyone done this to an 03' ?

most people get them from Grubbs. It is cheaper easier, and they are Sponsor's of this forum, so in a way you can thank them for the info you are getting now buy purchasing through them.
But Yosi rules and has access to more products, like double din kits in all the different interior finishes, where as grubbs has just the brushed aluminum.
Both are good sources for the double din kit.
If you have the money get the Eclipse AVN5500, I have the 5435. You will need to purchase a PAC controller for the particular head unit and your car that will allow you to retain steering wheel controls. this will probably be $50-90.
That is what I have in my 2003 Sedan.
Do you have stock Navigation?
