most people get a sub and put it in the 4080 box with a new amp and ditch the stock. GL

Search 4080 and zenclosures. You won't be sorry with either set-up. Mike from zenclosures is in Sarasota and a great guy, would builts sweet boxes.

I have the 4080 12" box in my sedan. I got it in a group buy last month. It is a sealed fiberglass enclosure that goes on the passenger side. You can get a 10" or 12" (the 12 will only fit if you don't have the full size spare). The box is awesome, great quality and sound.

If you want to change your 8" in your rear deck it will still not sound very good. Free-air subwoofers have good sound quality but do not have much output.

BUY THE BOX.

He made me a 12" version for the passenger side of my 2005 G35 sedan, and it is FANTASTIC. I'm a stereo freak, installer, Etc and this thing is TOP NOTCH. You cannot go wrong with one of these boxes. Great product.

+1

I was an installer for a few years and have built tons of fiberglass enclosures, kick panels, amp racks, false floors, etc... This one is very high quality and a great deal.
In case you are going to ask why I paid for one since I could have made it, I'm lazy and sick of doing it! Great enclosure, great deal.

My only complaint is the MTX 7500 series 12" I have it in hits the grille hard enough to make it fly off so I need to space it out and keep it looking good.

Ha... My Alpine Type-R 12 has blown off the grill a time or two as well. I added some double stick tape to the grill (which fits very snug) and it's never came off since.

Funny... I thought that it was just mine that fell off!
