My new sub enclosure

I did not like all the sub enclosures that I saw installed in most G's.
So look at what I came up with. We finished the installed on last week this is how it turned out.

looks like a pair of 8w7's... i heard those little guys hit really hard for their size. nice work on the enclosure and you still have a ton of useable trunk space

Xtant x1001. I am in the electronics business and have had a lot of systems.
Those 8w7's have really impressed me. I would compare the sound to two normal 12'' subs. Except the bass is much tighter.

My bass ****.

And by moving out the face a bit, you get more airspace. I was going to do something similar to that when I get my subs installed.

Good question. Tapped off the factory amp at the rear of the car, since Xtant sub amps have a built in low signal (for rca's) booster. I cut some rca's in half and went directly from the factory amp to the xtant amp.

Too far and you loose the rear seat release.

wow that looks great! i had a custom box built that looked exactly like that, just without the infiniti symbol. But it just didnt sound good and barely fit. but they were no w7s. i had 2 10" fusion powerplants. they sound really good in my truck though. i now have a 12" L5 and it sounds better, but takes up way too much trunk space. how much is an 8" w7?

Do you have any pics of this?

So if I understand you correctly, you are still using the OEM amp and you added this new one?
