OEM XM Radio Antenna
OEM XM Radio Antenna
I have been told it is the same plug as the Pioneer recievers use but I need to know if it is the dual plug like the older Pioneer units or the single plug like the newer ones.
Old style

New style

Thanks, just wanted to get this figured out before I start yanking things apart to put the nav system in

After taking apart my 04 Sedan last weekend, mine was a single plug, but not with the purple tip. It was gold or yellow, and was run through a splitter into a dual plug OEM receiver.
However, I carefully switched the plastic color-coded tips from my new antenna and from the OEM, and plugged the OEM antenna into my new XMDirect receiver.
It appeared to work fine. Now, however, after putting my backseat back into the car, i get no sound with XM, although I did prior to putting the car back together. I'm thinking that perhaps I need to call XM to have them refresh my system, but haven't had a chance to do so yet.
I did have sound on all channels with the OEM antenna and the new XM receiver though at one point. My sedan receiver was located under the rear parcel shelf on the passenger side tucked behind the trunk liner material. You can carefully remove the plastic anchors and take a peek. Not sure if this helps, but good luck.
