Anyone install shock sensor add-on to an 06 yet?

I tried installing mine inside the cabin, but had no luck getting it to work. I followed this thread made by boosted concepts, but its for an 03 I believe, and the BCM wiring is different for an 06.
http://boostedconcepts.forumup.org/a...dconcepts.html
The 03 BCM looks like this with the 4 wires going into it:

The 06 BCM looks like this with 4 different colors going into it:

There is a yellow wire, green with white stripe, solid red, and red with white stripe.
I have tried wiring into the red with white stripe, and the yellow wire following the guide provided, but it doesn't set off my alarm when i shake it after arming my alarm and waiting until the alarm light begins to blink. The sensor's led turns on when I shake it for a second, which likely means it is sending out a signal , but the alarm doesn't go off like when the door is manually opened from the inside with the alarm on.

Does anyone have an idea what I did wrong or has done it themselves and can help me out?

hey

try connecting it to the red wire.
on the 05s we used the red wire and it works.

if you have a 06 service manual you could send me i would be happy to look at it for you and let you know what wire it is

also after you shut the door or hold the door pin and lock the car, the alarm has to arm. in the arming stage your security led will go solid and when the alarm is armed it will start blinking. once it starts blinking try setting off the alarm. the delay is aout 30 seconds

Oh, and don't spend too much time 'shaking/rocking' your car to activate the alarm. It is a shock sensor, rap on the window that will set it off.

Just finished the install, thanks SFLG35, it did end up being the solid red one. So on an 06, and probably 05, you cut the red wire instead of the red with white stripe.

Good timing, I just started the install on my 05 and noticed the diffrences. I even found it hard to find the wires for the power taps. Their instructions state "red and black, and white and blue in the ignition harness". There are about 4 harnesses with both those combinations in them around the column. And they included no picture. Finally took a guess and confirmed it with a meter. It is the one to the right of the column, yes? Waiting to get some nice scotchlocks before I finish because I dont want it to look so hacked up for the next time the dealer is poking around in there. Thanks for the heads up on the red wire being the correct one on 05-06.

Anyone use a fuse when following the Boosted instructions tapping in to the ignition harness? Any advantages?

The sensor should have come with a fuse already attached, if not, fuse the red line to make sure you don't burn up your car.

The fuse was on a seperate piece of wire. In the Boosted link there is no mention of it.

Was trying to finish the install today, but I cant get it to work. The sensor led goes off when you tap it, and the trunk alarm still works when you open it while armed (had to fudge this by leaving it open and locking it with a screwdriver, and unlocking with the emergency pull). But the sensor wont trigger the alarm. My wiring looks good. I have tapped into the solid red wire. Again its a 05 with the intelli key, my harness also looks a little diffrent then the 06 pictured. Anyone have suggestions? The diodes tested ok (continunity only one way).
