Someone Please help quick!! Installed TVandnav2go - Car wont start, nothing works.

I just installed the tvandnav2go. I reconnected the the battery and turn the car on. The speedometer doesnt light up, the radio doesnt work, the NAV doesnt work. The red light on the tvandnav2go box does turn on. I got power from the cig lighter. I used t tap and hooked 3 new wires to it. One for a camera, one for s rocker switch, and one for the tvandnav2go power. The car wont even start and the windshield wipers spaz out. Someone please help ASAP!! I dont know what to do.

Walk us through the connections you made. What did you plug/unplug.. etc... It's probably something fairly simple. A relay or fuse more than likely.

Everything is fine now. Just encase you dont know Im 16 and this is the first real mod or anything like this to a car. Well I finally finished everything after having a defective pa11-mis and wait for it to reship and trying to get to the store to get things for the switches and camera I was going to put in. Right when I get it hooked up I try to turn on the car to test it and this happens. So my Dad got really pissed off ( ) and this car being apart is really stressing him out on top of many other problems he already has. Jumping didnt work because he didnt know I had the battery terminal loose, which lead him to thing that the car was going to have to be towed somewhere to get fixed (the car also wouldnt go into gear). So hes making me take the whole thing out causing he doesnt want to chance screwing anything up. So it looks like Im done modding for good .

damn, sorry to hear that. Before you spaz out you should always retrace everything and check all connections. Tvandnavtogo is a fairly simple install. So did you remove it all or did you get it working then show your pops?
I guess I wouldnt want my 16 yr old son ripping apart a $35K car either.

Again, sorry to hear!

It works fine, he just decided he want it out. He just looks at the car like this and he sees problems in his eyes. Damn battery did all this to me. If it didnt die everything would have been done. He thinks the video on the name is stupid anyway and that the nav is not a toy.

No offense, but I think you should leave the electrical work to the pros from now on

It's too bad hes making you rip it out, because I bet you weren't too far away from having it all up and running...oh well

Well its not like I made some huge mistake...the battery died. I finished the installation it just took so long because I had to wait for usa spec to replace my defective unit and it was hard to make it to the store when I didnt have a car. (I was also adding led rocker switches to have the camera on while driving). Well I am going to go remove it from my car now.

You just freaked him out. It was probably too much of a reality check for him when the car wouldn't start, even if it was just the battery. A g35 is an expensive toy...

Yeah... swerved (swurved?) to miss a fuc_ing cat this weekend and instead hit a curb. Now I'm out $1k on a control arm, alignment and wheel bearing. And don't even TALK about the tires.... whatever you do, do NOT peel out on these tires.. or if you do, just pretend it just cost you $25.
