Screen Resolution - DigitalWheelz

I'm hoping that someone with knowledge of screen resolution can answer a question for me. I was checking out the DigitalWheelz screens at mp3car.com and noticed the following specs on the 700V model:

# Physical Resolution: 800 (H) x 480 (V)
# Supported Resolution: 640 x 480 ~ 1600 x 1200
# Dot Resolution: 2400 x 480 = 1,152,000 (dots)

This is the model with RCA inputs (and no VGA input). I thought RCA could only support a much lower resolution (something like 240 X ____).

(1) Doesn't this mean that even though the screen can display a higher resolution, the picture wouldn't be very clear because the connection is RCA?
(2) Would the quality look most like Standard Definition TV?
(3) If so, a person would be using a DVD player to display mere VHS-quality video, correct?
(4) Would the VGA input on the 700TSV show a better picture from the same source?
(5) Assuming that it would, is there a way to use the VGA port to show a signal from a DVD player?

Thanks in advance. By the way, these both look like great screens and I plan on getting one or the other and that's why I'm asking these questions.

I have the 700TSV and the VGA input is clearer - no question. If you are going to display a windows desktop using composite video (NTSC 640 x 480 at 30 fps) it will be fuzzy. A DVD image will look just fine however. If you play the DVD through a PC it can output via VGA. But there will be little noticeable difference I would think on DVD material through RCA or VGA (softer image, but that may not be a bad thing).

You could probably find a component to RGB converter, but that's a lot of trouble for a very small difference in quality...

Thanks for the info. I think that I'll end up with the TSV.
