Elemental Design Free-Air EU-700

Hey guys, I have been doing some research on upgrading the stock bose sub driver in the g Sedan and have came across a product that has been getting tons of attention. It its a free air sub made by Elemental Design and it is supposed to reach frequencys below 20hz.The most amazing part about it, is that its only 50 bucks directly from Elemental Design.

from forums such as icixsound,mp3car, and other random car audio forums... ive gathered that this is as good or better than some home audio systems. Some guy even claimed it was the cleanest sounding sub he had ever heard.

Does anyone have any technical information they can offer me regarding the factory sub and amp, and how difficult/easy it would be for me to simply replace the existing sub with a new one.

I run a lot of eD gear, including the 700's IB. But the superlatives your are listing tend to be a bit grandiose, IMO.

Yes, they are very capable drivers. They put out a truly surprising amount of output considering their size. They are also capable of going fairly deep, and sound great doing it. And I am not surprised at all about the rave reviews you have seen. Especially at ICIX.

For $50, it is a great sub. There are better subs on the market, but no where near that price point.

Alas, I do not have bose system so I cannot comment on the ease or difficulty of swapping the 6 x 9 sub with the 6.5 driver.

I have the exact same pair and thinking out putting in the OEM Mid location (on the sides, behind the seats) in addition to my other eD warez.
