bluetooth setup

Here's my issue. My first Motorolla Razr V3 i was able to set up in the g35 no problem. Well that phone crapped out on me, so cingular sent me a new one. the exact same phone. now when i try and do a search for devices it says, "no devices found". I made sure the bluetooth is in the "on" mode, and i cant figure out the problem. Does this sound like a phone issue, or an issue with the car? its really annoying. thanks

So, you've been able to tell the phone to look for devices - so far so good. At the same time, you need to tell the car Bluetooth to go into "pairing mode". If you are not in "Pairing Mode" the car will not advertise its existance to your phone. I don't have the factory Bluetooth in my G, so I can't give you the button by button method to enter "Pairing mode", but it is a required step.

You were right. What I needed to do, was say "PAIR PHONE" first, so that it put me in the search mode, then hit "find devices" on my phone. problem solved. thanks for the info.
