New HVAC Control For Double Din Conversion

I am looking in to converting to a double din and I am wondering why you would need to change the HVAC controls. Secondly, why is the dual climate control lost if you change the HVAC Controls. Finally, looking at the picture at Grubbsperformance.com, why is the 05-06 finishing dash peice the mirror of what ours actually are? See pics below. Thanks for the help.

Ok you should search, but I will comment because sometimes searching is difficult.

1. You will understand why you need a new AC controller when you actually take your dash apart. The USDM AC controller is part of the same board as the faceplate of the stock head unit. You cannot take out the stock radio without also taking out your AC controller.

2. Dual Climate is lost because the standalone AC controller in Japan comes that way. However, you can simply remove the button and LED and put them onto the JDM AC controller to retain your dual climate.

3. Not sure about the picture, but the product you order will come the way you expect it. I have an 05 with DD conversion.

Thanks for the info. I did search, and found the question asked, but never answered. Thanks again.
