This is totally personal preference, although many people on here go with JL subs and amps.

Look at the power ratings. The JLW6 is gonna hit hard. For most people though, the JL W3 is great and will save you a grip of money.

10w7 will own all of the above but will need a bigger enclosure to house the sub.

The w6's hit WAYYY harder than the w3's. They don't even compare. And yes the w7's hit WAYYY harder than the w6's. I have (2)10w3's in my Max and had (2)10w3's in my Z. The (2)12w6's I have in the G and in my Armada blow them away. They cost more and you need more power to run them but you will know the difference. I would have used the w7's but they required too much space for what I wanted, (2)13w7's. The proper ported box size wouldn't fit.

should i buy the stereo system on Ebay or in the store.
Ebay seems to have good deals but you may never know the quality...

Any ideas.

And how much would everything cost me for a "decent" system not top of the line

Ebay is a gamble, I'd go with a shop that will back a warranty.

Yep I just purchased 2 10w7's... custom enclosure's are being fabricated as we speak... should be the neck smacking punch I been looking for coming from a guy thay had 2 CV dual voice coil strokers in the trunk of my old eclipse... but these are being dropped in my coupe & I have a 10w7 enclose NIB for the coupe for sale in the calssifieds ( hint ..hint..) I know this is for a sedan but for any one looking to put some heavy bass in the coupe hit me up for details. You can power them with a jl 1000/1 & run them in series.

i purchased 2 punch stage 3 10's from ebay, and an audiobahn flame amp from ebay to power them, along with the z enclosures?...is that it? =P beena while ~ anyway's - its more than i wanted at the time, im thinking of getting fosgate power's as an upgrade, since one of them cracked due to overly populated trunk during my bodywork =(

As for how hard they kicked? its not obnoxious but its loud inside the car - nothing that will knock off the rear view though.

ok so im down to either 2 12" W6s or 2 10" W7s

I want tight bass yet HARD hitting as well....so which do you think?? Im leaning towards the 10" w7s

also a 1000/1 JL amp should push these too well right??
