I wanted to know what you guys think of doing Alpine MRD-M1005 Amp with Alpine Type-X SWX-1042D sub. Would this sub work with 4080 box?
thanks for you help,

The amp and sub are pretty much a perfect match for eachother but the type X will NOT fit in the 4080 box considering the top mounting depth of the sub (8 11/16") and the mounting depth of the coupe 4080 box is only 7 1/2"
If you want to stick with alpine you could go with the 10" type R (SWR-1042D) and the MRD-M605 V12 class D amp (600W RMSx1 at 2 ohms)
I've personally heard the type R's in action and they hit hard, not quite as hard as the type X but they'll get the job done, and you can use it in the 4080 box.

I talked to couple of my friends and they told me that type r is great and i also did some research online and i hear nothing but good things about it
Ya go with the type-r i used to have 4 in a durango and they hit real hard. Now i have dropped down to 2 type-r's with a different set up and the still hit crazy hard for a big truck like the durango. Also i like audiobahn they make quality products....good luck
