Re: Anyone Hook up an I-Pod??
hey i don't know but this might help... http://members.rogers.com/muran0/Main.htm it's of a murano SAT receiver..but i think it's the same... Click on SAT Connections
Re: Anyone Hook up an I-Pod??
Makes wonder how the Bug is doing this with the whole "pod united" campaign.... I just hope someone makes an adaptor for the SAT connection fast.... I'm getting tired of all the distortion using tape adaptors with my Ipod.... T_T
Re: Anyone Hook up an I-Pod??
I agree that a SAT adapter will be the best solution for those with SAT-ready units, but that won't work for me. I have yet to find a picture of the back of my pre-SAT unit, so I don't know if there's any other solution, but I doubt it.
Re: Anyone Hook up an I-Pod??
I installed an Alpine XM unit in the spring. It has an AUX RCA input. I use my iPod w/ this unit w/o problem. I just ran a RCA to 1/8" stereo cable up to my center console by my passenger seat. When I want to use my iPod. I just reach down in between the passanger seat and the console and bring the cable up, put my iPod in the right cup holder and set the Alpine input (via remote control) to AUX in and I'm golden. The Alpine system is feeding into my Bose system via a FM modulator. It works good, the iPod is actually better than the XM radio, because the iPod has an EQ.
If you would like to see some pictures of how I have the Alpine unit mounted go to my .mac webpage below....
