2006 Nav Conversion - Help! tvandnav2go

Hey guys, I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I need to ask the question anyways since I'm a new G owner.

I just recently picked up an 2006 6MT Coupe, however I did not get the XM or sirus Satellite on my car. My question is I'm interested in using the tvandnav2go unit on my car however in terms of sound I dont want to us a FM Modulator. I was looking at a PAC unit but confused as to whether it is going to work on my car as I don't have a SAT button and the Radio button is used to cycle. Does the 06 model have an AUX input that I can use? Or is an FM modulator my last resort? And does anyone have a picture of the back of an 06 console that I can look at showing this AUX input if one is available?

I will be pluggin g a slim ps2 into the glove box and doing the install myself since the shop wants like $600 just to install and I buy parts. From what I've read and seen it's not too hard with the PNP version but Im confused on the audio side of things.

Thanks!

now the question is do you have an ipod and want to integrate it into the system, the USA Spec PA11-NIS has the ipod control directly from the radio/steering wheel and also has an aux input which can be used for the RCAs coming from the playstation.

I'm not particularly interested in integrating an ipod into the car, after all the blose system does play mp3's so I can just burn a bunch onto a disc if needed.

So can I use the specified PAC unit? And if so where does this plug into for sound? Would I cycle the radio button?

Anyone with a 2006c know about this? Do I need to use a PAC-AAI-NIS2 even though I'm not hooking up an iPod? I want plug and play operation but need some help on this. I wanted to do it this weekend

Yeah, the PAC AAI NIS2 is what you need. Once you hook it up, you can cycle through to get SR1 and SR2 by using the radio button on the HU or the mode button on the steering wheel control.

thanks you guys, I'm going to check out my audio shop tomorrow to see if they have this in stock. Can you shed some light on if this is solely a Plug and play unit? And are their any instructions with pictures for this unit?

It's a plug and play unit. There are 2 plugs that you connect in parallel to your HU. Connect your audio source and you're basically set.

Don't sweat it too much, the actual installation is pretty easy. You'll probably spend more time ripping apart your center console to get access to your HU.

Good luck

Thanks for the links! I already went out and bought a PAC AAI NIS2 for this install and I'm working on wiring up the Intec car adapter for power, and will hardwire it in. I'll post some pics when I get around to doing this.
