Ok I'm really torn. Now its getting worse.
First, I was looking at the Pioneer Z1, with its powerful Navi unit. But then I heard a lot of complaints about the sound quality and availability for adjustment.
So then I was headed for the Alpine IWA-W200 unit, and add on the Blackbird for navi. I loved Alpine's processing power with the built in crossovers, timedelay, etc. But now Im hearing so much bad about the Blackbird, that I'de be better off using a compass and map rather than that thing, as its very slow, and often mis-directs.
So, now Im thinking again. Would it be 1) possible, and 2) a good idea to go ahead and install the Z1 then add Alpine's PXA-H701 for the fine-tuning of the audio?
grrrrrr I just want to do this right.

just my two bits, the z1 to me sounds as good as any of the previous pioneer nav units, whcih is to say not bad at all...not super good as on a higher end dedicated mp3/cd player, but not bad, wtih the audio cointrol dqt in line with it, i have all the adjustments i need and to me and most of my customers who have heard it, it sounds fine

Im going for a clean, minimaly space-intrusive install, therefore a fancy looking equ like you're running isn't really what Im looking for
Thanks!
