Streets of Willow on December 8th with SpeedVentures
Anyone planning on going to the speedventures event on December 8th for a track day? It's being held at Streets of willow. A buddy with a 350z and I signed up, so hopefully some of you guys will too. It'll be nice to see a few more g35s out there on the track. I've never gone to a speedventures event before, so we'll see how it goes. I'll be sure to post feedback after its over.

Speedventures runs a nice event. I have tracked many times with them up and down the state, as well as Nevada, and always had a good experience.
At present I am slated for either Thunderhill on the 10th or Cal Speedway on the 9th, so cannot plug another one in there that is so close in time. Streets is a good track for having some fun, but it is not ideal for the heavy G as compared with the lighter and smaller cars with less horsepower. We did a 1:26 in my car, running the full track with the bowl in the clockwise direction, so you can get around it with some giddyap if you have some suspension mods. A stock set up is probably going to run around 1:38-1:40 best case, unless you have a prodriver at the controls. A respectable time is what you do safely within your abilities and experience, and in accord with the track conditions at the time. Not what some other yahoo has up on the board, whether in your type of car or not.
Have a great time, and be safe.

Thanks for the input Eagle1. I'm still running my stock suspension, but I upgraded my brakes. Since I'm nowhere near a pro in terms of skill I'm not expecting much in terms of quick lap times, I just want to gain more control of the car at the limit. The last two times I went to the track, I ran on the stock rims and rubber, but this time, I've got a set of track rims 17x9 with Falken Azenis RT-615s (same size) all around to dial out a little of the understeer. I'm hoping this setup will work well for me.
With the stiffer sways, upgraded bbk and wider wheels and rubber that you have, you should be in very good shape to move briskly, and have a very good time on that track with your car. It is too heavy to compete with the light cars like the S2k and Sti or Evo on that type of track, but it will move well and be a barrel of fun. Enjoy.
