Anyone whose heading out for this one, let us know. Trey and I both are going to be there but just as spectators. Looks like the whole weekend is going to be a blast and if you can make it out I would encourage you to do just that.

Nope....wasn't me. I was in the D run group. No off road excursions all day.

That was the other black G with the bronze wheels.

You were the dirty white car?

oh i thought it was you that i passed. its hard to keep track of clean black cars. the dirty one always stands out.

yes the dirty one was me. I am still very much dissapointed with not having the pads to do the last 2 seccions on the track.

how did you mange to boil steering fluid? i didnt know it was possible. I think i was on the verge of boiling my brake fluid... checking the temps on the rotors it was just a hair over 500 for the front and 375 on the rear.
I'll be doing brake job #3 this weekend.

Cool

Oh yeah.....fat sticky tires take their toll.

I'm thinking about getting one of these: $125.00 -

STILLEN designed this Heavy Duty Steering Fluid Cooler to handle driving habits ranging from casual cruising to extreme canyon running. If you are auto-crossing, doing some extreme driving, or have swapped your wheels & tires for a wider and larger diameter set, you are taxing your stock steering fluid cooler and risking the chance of boil-over or cooking the fluid.

The differences between the stock steering Fluid Cooler and the New STILLEN unit are capacity and volume. The reservoir for the STILLEN unit is larger which eliminates the chance of boil-over. The lines are also larger in diameter, allowing more volume through the steering system.

what did it feel or what does it feel when it boils?

I was running 275 tires on all 4 corners and didnt see/feel any probelms. I have done autoX and track days before and did not notice problems. now you have me worried

Cool

Felt nothing.

I just have fluid spewed all over the fender well right around the canister.

I checked everything else and came to the conclusion that's what it had to be.

Also, mine is relocated with the Vortech Intercooler, and it may have contributed. I don't like how they have you attach it to the radiator and may try relocating it to a better spot.

could have been the heat from the radiator that did it.

How was the car behaving in the heat with the SuperCharger? Are you running a stock radiator or did you upgrade to an aluminum core one?

Wonder if the 5AT can handle the abuse from it.
