sign-up and come on out and enjoy the last track day for 2007. With weather in the 30s and 40s, no worries about overheating engines.
see you out there...

i've only done one track event and it was with speedtrial at streets of willow.
can't compare with NASA or Speedventures.
what i can tell you is my experience.
i didn't keep track, but we got about 4-5 15-20 minute sessions in.
as a beginner, our first time out at the track was in groups of 4-5 behind an instructor's car learning the lines of the track.
second time we lined up 2x2 so we could get comfortable driving with another car alongside.
the next 2-3 sessions were open sessions. First couple had only two passing points and than the last session he opened up a third passing point.
each group has a max of 30 cars.
they have about 6-8 instructors there available to ride with you or you could ride along in their cars.
the event was very organized. the beginners group had "download" sessions after each run where the instructors would tell us what they saw and where we could improve.
i signed up in the beginner's group again since I've never done buttonwillow before.
last sessions there was only one 350Z and myself. there were several WRXs, EVOs, a bunch of Hondas, some other imports as well as two Ford GTs.
based on my experience with SpeedTrial at Streets of Willow, I would recommend attending there events.

not very strict.
i live 20 miles away as well, so they tech'd me for free.
they are basically looking for obvious stuff like fluids, brakes, tires, seatbelts, steering wheel, helmet, fittings on your vaccuum lines and such. Tech inspection takes about 3-5 minutes per car.
