Are their days when an Airport or somthing opens up its runways so you can do a TOp Speed run day?

I really would prefer not going 150+ on a public freeway and risk getting caught or somthing.

But thats why i am wondering. I really want to go over 100 in my car safely w/o doing it on a public road (did that once, wont do it again)

If anyone has any info on this, let me know. Otherwise im savin up and shipping my car to Germany where i can do it legally, but im determined to max this car.

 

I highly doubt airports open up their strips just so people could run their cars. But hey it's worth a try...

 

in el paso we have old airport strips... that you can max out your car on and its also our local drag strip lol

I remember seeing vids about an airport day or w/e where you could max your car. Just seein if they happen often

 

Seeing as you're in Minnesota, there is actually an AutoX and Top speed event at Amery Airpot on 6/21. This year it is named the Paul Weidner Memorial Speed Run. Check out the forums on mnautox.com for more info.

Find a Porsche club or BMW club in your area and see if they hold High Performance Driver Education.

Those two clubs seem to have a regional chapter everywhere and they hold excellent events to max out your car.
