i finally got my car back from the shop and snapped off some pics. i just installed the fire system and am putting in roll bar padding (just a couple of pieces left). i am planning on racing with the NASA Performance Touring group (PTC).
i am happy with the cage overall...i think the welds came out really well and the shop owner really took his time with it (3 months, but there were some major delays). the paint shop could've done a little better. there were parts that weren't prepped correctly, some rough spots (especially by the roof line), and some evidence of over spray in some areas.
for those with a fire suppression system, how did you guys route the lines and mount the nozzles? i'm using three in the cabin will use three in the engine bay. currently, my Dekabon lines are attached to the cage with zip ties, as are the nozzles.
also, i'm currently trying to decide where i should mount the master switch and the second fire suppression activation handle. my current ideas are to drill holes in the trunk and to mount them on the hood cowl (near the wipers).
anyway, enjoy the pics!

Wow that looks very serious! I like it a lot.
Kind of funny seeing the speakers in the door in a fully gutted and caged car but i guess you still need the tunes on the way to the track
Best of luck with the racing.

Best of luck with the racing.the only track i drive it to anymore is california speedway (or autoclub, or whatever it's called) because it's so close. i may drive it to willow springs or maybe even buttonwillow, but laguna or infineon, or anything really far is trailer territory.

. but because i had to wait so long, he added several extra bars for me and did the footwork for the paint. it was a bit frustrating though Joined: Feb 2004

the car weighed in at 3623lbs when it was corner balanced at precision Z BEFORE any weight reduction was done.
let me tell you, this setup is not safe if you are 6'4" or above..lol
I got managed to work my way into the drivers seat at Hai's BBQ and I honestly thought the jaws of life were going to be needed to get me out...LMAO!
