tank sloshing in the G35

I figured you guys would be the best source for this question...Do the G35 coupes suffer from fuel tank sloshing problems?

I started my drive with a smidgen above a 1/4 tank of fuel this morning. I was driving my car a little aggressive on the drive into work today and when I took my turn onto a sharp off ramp pretty quickly (which was joyful) my gas guage went down to E and the fuel light came on...it stayed this way for about 8-minutes until it recorrected. Once I noticed it, I started to drive like a civil person to ease it back, but like I said, it still took about 8-mins to recover.

Do you guys see this happen at events? This was the first time I've seen it happen to me personally.

yeah, I competed mine in F-stock twice as a wildcard, the car has 1/8 tank in there before first hit, and the gas level needle dip into Empty really quick with low gas light on.

It doesn't bother me much as long as the fuel pump doesn't cavitate during the run.

Never had a problem with autocross and a low tank. But hitting the banks at Texas Motor Speedway can starve the engine with less than 1/4. Learn by expirence, doing it once or twice shouldn't hurt anything.

Oh and probably a better answer to your question. Once the light comes on you probably have little over 2 gallons (50 miles) left although the computer adjust to take into account your gas mileage.
