Anyone autocrossed Englishtown road course?
Anyone autocrossed Englishtown road course?
I'm new to all the autocrossing stuff. And I'm going to take the newbe class at the Englishtown race track and I would like to know what you guys think of the track and if you guys have any advise for me since I'm new to this.

Thanks
sorry. i didn't see your question till now. But you can see my somewhat recent thread about this very thing: https://g35driver.com/forums/autocro...nce-autox.html
What class are you talking about, though? We had an autoX on the road course back on May 9th, then again on the 23rd, although we didn't know the 23rd would be on the road course until the night of the 22nd.
I think the roadcourse is a much tougher place to start autoX'ing. I believe you'd be much better off starting at a parking lot event. We have one this Saturday the 6th. The next event after that is not until July 11, unfortunately.

hi Qbrozen. i actually already went to the track day. it was on the road course, the 25th of may. it was really fun but i was the only G. however i was able to really drive my car ther way ive been wanting to.
. i must admit i didnt go on the last run because i was getting too happy and i was scare i was going to spin out or something.
I never autoxed before but i would like to start doing it since it is safer than racing your car around the track. The only thing is that i work on saturdays and they only seem to have events on saturdays. do you know of any autox events in the central jersey area???

the 25th? huh. I didn't know they were running an event on monday. what club was this with? was it an autox or were they just running the course as is? wish I had known, I may have taken the day off work.
when we run autox there, we use maybe half of the course and of course set up many cones to keep speeds below 60 to 70.
on sat I think there was only one G. a black rear drive sedan. it was his 2nd autox. I ran my Z that day.
check out that autox4u site I posted above. nnjr does run saturdays, but there are other clubs like bmw, porsche, and south jersey scca that may run some sundays. personally, I don't like the groupings of the make specific clubs (if u aren't a bmw, u run with all non-bmws) and ssjr leaves a bit to be desired in their location and track design, but its better than nothing.
