I'm picking up a set of used 17x9 +27 MB Motorsports Competition wheels. These come wrapped with Avon Tech R tires, which are R compounds. New, they come at 4/32nds. Apparently they're down to 2/32nds now. How much longer would you guys think these would last? Also, has anybody had any experience with these, or heard anything about them?

May I ask how much are you getting the whole package for? I paid about $1400 for my entire package, including lug nuts & tax.

Also, what size are the tires? On TireRack, the size jumps from 225 to 275. I'm not sure if 275/40's fit on the fronts. Let me know if it works!!

As for the tires, there is probably a wear bar somewhere on them. You may be able to dismount and re-mount Left-->Right to let them last longer. Basically, I think you will be able to tell once they are really worn down because they will get slippery and loose while driving.

 

275/40/17 all around. I know guys running 275/40/18 all around are running some spacers in the front. We'll have to see if I need to I guess. Much cheaper than you paid, since it's a used package...and no shipping.
