Got 1st place in auto-x this weekend!

I arrived late to my company's auto-x club meet yesterday so I didn't get to walk the course or anything.

My raw ranking was #9 (33.132 sec) but after the PAX factor of 0.796 I was #1! The top time of day was a turbo miata with 31.515 sec and he moved to #4 after applying a PAX factor of 0.852.

How is the PAX factor calculated?

BTW, if you want to see the competition, here are the auto-x results. Open the text file in Excel and use the tab delimited conversion and it should display nicely.

The "Triuick" Is a Triumph TR6(?) with a Buick V8 in it and wide Hoosiers on it.

Aaah, so much body roll!!

I just installed my Stillen front bar this week so I'll have to see how it handles at the next auto-x. I'll be out of town for this month's meet though

Looks about right to me. I used to have some old pics of my car with about that much roll when it was stock.

Mine still rolls considerably with my 350evo sways on med/med:

The G35 does roll a lot. I think my next upgrade is going to be a set of Koni Sport shocks for my sedan. (Gotta stay in DStock.)

How are the Toyo's? The general consensus I've heard about them is that they suck, but they suck for a looooong time, so they're economical. I picked up a set of Victoracer V700's myself, and the grip is amazing. The power-on oversteer is all but gone, and you can slam the brakes hard and the ABS doesn't even kick in.. the car just stops.

I think you guys just aren't cornering hard enough

As for the Toyo's....they are not the best auto-x tires but are better suited for track days. They do not wear as fast as the Kumho's and Hoosiers though, so for my first set of sticky tires, it's a good compromise.
