Wow! Fantastic driving! You really seemed to keep a clean line throughout your runs and made full use of the track width. That one BMW, on the other hand, seemed to be all over the track in a bad way. I'm just wondering why we never see any cars pass you...

Out of curiosity, are you running any kind of brake upgrades (pads, ss lines, fluids, etc)? Also, how much is the total cost for things (NASA membership, track fees, ride-along instructor fees, tires, pads, etc.)? I've only been to the track one time (Buttonwillow) with a decently modified Civic Si (mostly suspension mods) and really enjoyed it. I'm thinking of getting a separate set of pad and wheels/tires for the track, so I don't beat the heck outta my daily driven stuff. I just wanted to know what other costs there were if I was to get more serious about it.

I have SS lines, stock pads and using ATE Blue Racing Brake Fluid.
NASA membership cost $40 yearly. And each track day its abt $150 and if you go two days you get a deal for $279. I usually go through my pads in abt 4 track days. You are planning to spend about $250-280 a day including hotel, lunch and dinner. Tires are really hard to say cuz it really depends on wat tires u use and wats ur driving style. I really suggest you to bring ur G down, you will be impressed how that car performs... Well at least it really amazed me!

Nice video Jason. I almost came out on Sunday, but decided that the weather would not be worth it. I will still be going on April 27th and I am also looking at the mid-week event on May 10th. Over 2 hours of track time on the mid-week track day! Sounds like you definitely need some better tires and some negative camber.

 

Just curious, why the high temp brake fluid if you're running stock pads? With that setup, you'll experience pad fade way before you experience fluid fade.

You've been lucky with stock pads - this was the aftermath after an hour on track.

What have you replaced the stockers with and did they last any longer?

 

Went through 2 sets of Porterfield R4 pads. They were great on long tracks but the weight of the car still presented a challenge at shorter, tighter tracks. I had to cycle 3 hot laps with 3 cool laps. I'm sure there's someone out there bragging about beating G35s when I was on my cool laps.

Anywaz, u r rite, sunday was not worth going... the track was way too wet... but it was definitely a great learning experience.

 

The reason why i am running stock pads is because there are NO performance pads for the 05 6mt. If there is please recommmend me!!
Btw..i've tried Hawk HPS, they are worse than OEM pads..!
