It was an evo that crashed, those are really difficult to crash IMO, he shouldve just kept on the gas and it wouldve clawed through (AWD ) oh well.

I want to know what the S4 guy was thinking though. If I saw a big crash in front of me that was off the track to the right, I sure as hell wouldn't drive off the track to the right. Or is this just an extreme case of the car ends up where you look?

 

it is too bad this happened, it is why we teach that not listening to your instructor will get you kicked out of the event.
The instructors are not there to brag about how good they drive, they are selected to instruct based on their ability to control a car at speed and are able to pass that knowledge on. At least in the SCCA, as I'm sure in most clubs, because they want to spread their passion and skills.

Some people that attend track days are so focused on whatever fantasy they are dreaming that it is like talking to a 5 year old jacked up on sugar while watching sponge-bob..."are you listening to me johnny?" ......"uh huh". You know damn well they don't hear one word you say.

Guys like this are the ones to blame for high insurance premiums and entry fees. They are the excuse the companies point to for raising rates.
