Here's mine after the first coat of primer... can't wait to get this thing done so i can get the ugly gialla grille OFF my car!!!
This is my first time working with bondo and i think i got it almost perfect. It'll be painted Satin Black with a matte clear when it's all done

^ go to www.alsacorp.com and look at the product called killer chrome.
to get a good finish, spray the grill gloss black, clear coat it, and let it cure overnight. after 24 hours, give it a few dust coats of killer chrome, wipe off the excess coating, and let it sit for an hour. you can then give it another few coats of clear.
you'll get the best results if you get the grill as smooth as possible and don't use too much killer chrome. also, apply the killer chrome in the day time so you can see whether you're applying too much.

Not that model cars and such are the same but I've seen many reviews and jobs done with this stuff. So far, they have not been as advertised. However it is possible.......
Your glossy black coat has to be as smooth as a babys butt and you really need some painting chops. (that's just from what I've seen and read)
Also, dont buy the rattle can version. A waste of time and money.

Here is my attempt. After 5 days and 20+ hours of sanding im still not happy. I'm thinking it will look better if i paint it matte blk so that the minor imperfection don't show. And it think i need to dremel out the part that holds the emblem.
The part that where i bondo is super smooth and stands out in the paint. Any recommendations on how to make it blend in with the rest of the grill better? I used like 6 coats of primer filler and sanded it with 400 grit paper.
