^I wouldn't trust nail polish remover. Sometimes they add "conditioners" to polish remover that might possibly cause adhesion problems.

Just go to your nearest drug store or wal*mart and buy some 91%... it's just a couple bucks and does a really fantastic job of prepping plastic.

Awesome thread. I hate the light tan, dark tan and silver going on in my car so I set aside a weekend my friend and I are going to do our Bleaks in 950F Red G2 paint and our interior. When I'm done with the interior the only (and I mean only) colors in my car are going to be light tan and black. Yes the intre dash and everything around it that is dark tan WILL BE BLACK. I so sick of looking at this crazyness in my car. lol Will post pics!

^Wow! Sounds like you'll be doing some serious work!

Yeah, I hate how the wheat interior has so many colors going on. Stone is so much better, but unfortunately wasn't an option in the 03/04s :/

I guess it could be worse though. I was riding in someone's Hyundai (almost brand new) the other day, and couldn't help but notice they had too many interior colors and finishes to count!

There was black, silver(aluminum?) like the G, chrome (a lot), 2 or maybe even 3 shades of brown/tan, and to top it all off, faux wood-grain

I look forward to seeing your progress on the G dude. I myself am trying to move to a black/tan theme, but it's slow-going.

^Yes, Heist did.
He didn't use the same product I did.
His process was far more labor intensive, but the finish is simply amazing.

^Actually, the paint may have come from a can, but even if it did, there was a very elaborate polishing and finishing process.
You can PM Heist for details on that finish.

Duplicolor vinyl&fabric coating comes in a gloss (same paint I used in OP, but in satin finish)
Don't expect a finish as nice as Heist's though. But it should bite no problem, as long as you prep it like I said in the first post.
Mine's over a year old now, and the finish is still fantastic.

^Yeah, but it's like 10,000,000 posts long

He had a post on how he did that finish. It was a link to a DIY on finishing a computer case.
I don't remember where it is though :/
