Modding takes some testicular fortitude sometimes, I was shaking like crazy the first time I baked a set of headlights worrying about melting them, but this was a relatively easy task, just take your time and make multiple passes to decrease the probability of cracking like accordfreak suggested. I did the second one twice as fast as the first one without cracking it since I kinda got a feel for how much pressure to apply

Just did mine
Before:
After:
Thanks Accordfreak for the DIY!! Gotta love that clearance.
Scary at first, but after awhile when you get the hang of it, I was on a roll...lol.
Patience and lots of heat is the key. I got impatient on my other side.
Rushed it with not enough heat and trying to roll too much too fast and cracked my paint on one section Oh well.
Paint supply shop mixing me a spray can of paint and already have the 2-part clear coat spray. Have a little damage control to take care of.
Least it's under the fender where you won't see it.

bah, after staring at it and just knowing that i would be scraping 'till the weekend, i went ahead and gave it a try. i was too lazy to get 2" PVC pipe so i just used the mag-light wrapped in a shirt. i didn't get nearly as tight as you guys got. i got it down to about 3/4 of what it was before. hopefully that's enough. if not, i guess i gotta get this damn pipe!

Let's say I cracked ALOT of paint lol.. For anyone doing this and does get some paint cracks..
Head to a car supplies shop and look for 3M Rubberized Paint Sealant.. It should be next to the paints/pick up truck bed liner sprays.
it's basically the same material your wheel base area is made out of... Rubber tar-like paint.. And it's black!@# So you can spray some on an applicator and spread it around on the rolled area.. now it matches the rest of the wheel area! And it seals.. and protects from salt/rain.. so that protects you cracked paint!@#
lol.. Just thought I'd share my experience..

Thats about how long I heated mine and no cracks in those areas.
Then I got impatient with heating time and rolling time. Those areas I rushed, the paint cracked.
Good idea about the rubberized paint sealant, but my paint cracked on the rolled edge very close to the exposed visual outside edge. I went to a auto paint supplier and gave my paint code. He mixed up a spray can of my color. Also got a can of two part clear coat. It's all good now.
