Very nice subtle drop. So getting the alignment within specs shouldn't be a problem b/c the drop is so subtle right? How different is the ride quality?

I am also confused about the color code of the revised springs.

From the pics that I've seen, the revised springs had 3 dots on the front: 2 red and 1 white; while the rear springs have 1 pink dot.

Can someone confirm this because I have a couple guys telling me that the springs off their 03 z have this same color scheme?

Thanks.

*******edit********
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

UNREVISED: 2 red and 1 white
REVISED: 2 red and 1 light purple

I guess from certain angles/lighting, the light purple in some of the pictures look white.

It lowered it a good 1/2" all the way around and really brought the look of the car together. The rear springs looks exactly the same when you take em out but they're not. So to answer your question, yes this is a great way to acheive a slight drop with out spending alot of money, you can pick up revised Z springs for around $100.

Interesting you mention about the rear springs appearing to be the same. I installed '05 350Z springs on my '04 Coupe 6MT with sport suspension. (In Canada we actually had that in '04.)

I got a 1/4" drop in the front and no drop in the rear.

Yup same here. Except I have '05 coupe w/ sprt suspension. I got more of a half an inch drop in front and practically none in rear. Definitely not half an inch in rear. Only reason why I went with oem z springs is for the similar spring rates. It looks freakin nasty right now. All low in the front and hihg in the back. Like a mustang. But it seems like im the only one that can tell because others say they only noticed it when i pointed it out. It still annoys the **** out of me.

Im thinkin about dropping it with another set. Maybe "z" h-tech with tokico d-specs. If I did the tokico and h-techs, would the spring rates matter. I figure we want a similar spring rate as stock because of the stock shocks. But if we replace the shocks then the spring rates wont matter as much?

The ride quality is identical. No more nor less bouncing, roughness, etc. Handling is great. Drop looks awesome.
As for the rear springs, they look exactly the same as the stock G springs but theyre not. They dropped me a good .5 to .75 inches.

For those of you considering it, do it! Dont even think about it, just do it. Its so worth the money. For 100 bucks, its hard to find a better mod thats cheaper and more visually appealing

Sorry I don't know anything about the spring rates for htechs. I would say however that a would be a good idea to match your current spring rates unless you have a different priority for either ride comfort or handling bias. However the D-specs will make a major difference with that, allowing you to adjust it any way you want. They are truly great. i had my car in today for service and went for a drive with the shop foreman. He has been a track and rally driver and mechanic for many years. I asked him if he noticed a difference in the ride of my car. He said yes, it was firmer but not as harsh as the OE shocked cars which he said are too abrupt. He must have figured I changed them out since I know he had seen my bigger sways.

That's great to read. Have you had an alignment yet, since you installed the springs? If so, what were the results?

No, no alignment. I dont feel that its necessary really. The car drives in a perfectly straight line. Also, Grant(Gdup35sedan) who works at firestone and installed em for me said not to worry about it as its not a significant enough drop to warrant an alignment and thinks that if the car drives straight, an alignment isnt needed.

Conclusion: get em!

EDIT: BTW Andy, Im so jealous of your car...and OMG youre getting winnings! What color?

Yeah, I saw the pics of your G. It looks great. LOL . . . Now, I may have a brand new set of 350Z Tein H-Techs for sale. I want to keep the spring rates the same.

I'm got the Mercury Silver Winnings. I can't until they get here. Thanks for the info.

Can't understand why some have rear drops and others don't??

I hope they work for you Andy.
